When I look at the name Samuel Colclouge and his rusted iron gravemarker, I imagine a weighty man brought down after a lifetime of struggles. But then I look at the dates and realize This is the gravesite of a baby.

If you know which serpentine road to follow, you will find the Japanese section of the Salt Lake City Cemetery. My initial belief was that these were likely former detainees from the internment camps here in Utah. In fact, the death dates on many of these graves predate World War II by a decade.
